The fixed cost of internal transactions might come down, thanks to digital transformation inside organizations, middle management may slowly go away thanks to automation, AI and workflow robotics.

Where Uber model disrupts existing firms, but remains a firm nevertheless, new distributive technological developments like Blockchain will reduce the cost of transactions in the networks, like how Etherium aims to, and this reduce the cost of external transactions too.

But the world still has a long way to go to equip everybody with these distributive technologies. Access & costs of electricity & mobile data still remain a challenge for the majority of the world’s population.

Napster of Taxis is still a long way away. Uber is merely the Walkman of Taxis I guess.
